Desperado is a Mexican mole inspired barbecue sauce made with barrel-aged chocolate habanero peppers.
We have added dried guajillo and ancho peppers, blueberries, cherries, and blackberries, plus fresh herbs, freshly toasted spices, cocoa, and raisins. Finished with fresh tomato juice, this is a rich, sweet, and smoky sauce that will complement Mexican dishes, grilled food, or anything that needs a complex sweet and smoky hit!
Ingredients: Tomato juice (tomatoes, salt), chocolate habanero*, roasted red onion, carrot*, cherries, blackberries, blueberries, water, raisins, sugar, garlic*, salt, ancho chili, guajillo chili, cocoa, smoked salt, smoked paprika, liquid smoke, cinnamon, coriander, cumin, oregano, thyme, black pepper.
